GEORGIA BUNN

Executive Board Chair

Georgia chairs Rubicon’s Board of Directors. She coalesces the input of the ownership group, Rubicon’s independent directors, and management into a unified vision for the company, providing insight through her years of experience to the executive team as they implement the company’s strategic initiatives. 

Georgia has previously served as the Chair of the Planning Commission for the City of Lebanon and served as a director and Finance Committee Chair for the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis. Georgia holds a BA in Political Science from Willamette University, an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business, and certificates in Governing Family Enterprises, Family Enterprise Boards, and Finance for Non-Financial Executives from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

 

DANIEL BUNN

President & CEO

Daniel is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. He has more than 15 years of experience with Rubicon having previously served as the company’s Vice-President in charge of finance and real estate contracting. In his current role, he oversees the growth and development of the company, including the alignment of complex financial strategies with the needs of our tenants and communities.

Daniel currently chairs the budget committees for the City of Medford and the Medford Urban Renewal Agency and is a member of the Medford Board of Water Commissioners, a public utility serving 130,000 residents. Previously, he has served as a member of the Medford Planning Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, and as an elected member of the City Council. He is currently a director for ACCESS, Southern Oregon’s Community Action Agency, a federally chartered 501(c)(3). Daniel holds a BA in Economics and Political Science and an MBA from Pepperdine University, a postgraduate diploma in financial strategy from University of Oxford’s Saïd School of Business, and certificates in Governing Family Enterprises and Family Enterprise Boards from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University

Joseph Kearns

Board Member

Mr. Kearns serves as the President of Kearns Associates LLC. From 1982 to 1998, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the J. Paul Getty Trust. He serves as a Trustee at MAS Funds and Southern California Edison Nuclear Decommissioning Trust. Director or Trustee of various U.S. registered investment companies managed by MSIM since August 1994.

Mr. Kerns is a Trustee of AIM Sector Funds (Invesco Sector Funds) - Invesco Technology Sector Fund, Alternative Investment Partners Absolute Return Fund, Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Trust - Discovery Portfolio, Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Trust - Multi-Asset-Class Portfolio, Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Trust - Multi-Asset-Class Portfolio, Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Trust - Global Strategist Portfolio, Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund Trust - Core Plus Fixed Income Portfolio, AIP Long/Short Fund P, AIP Macro Registered Fund A, Morgan Stanley Variable Insurance Fund, Inc. - Global Infrastructure Portfolio, Morgan Stanley Insight Fund, Morgan Stanley Variable Investment Series - The Multi Cap Growth Portfolio, S&P 500 Index Portfolio, Invesco V.I. Katy Coba

Board Member

Ms. Coba was born and raised on a wheat ranch in Pendleton, Oregon.  Graduating cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, she received a bachelor’s degree in economics with a political science minor from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.

Ms. Coba was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of the Department of Administrative Services in August of 2016 by Governor Kate Brown.  As COO, she worked with the Governor, state agencies, legislature and stakeholders to manage the enterprise of state government.

Prior to this, she served as the Director of the Oregon Department of Agriculture for 13 ½ years.  In this position, she was proud to represent Oregon’s agricultural industry locally, domestically, and internationally.  Katy’s career in state government spans more than 35 years and she has worked in a number of different positions.  Regardless of the position, Katy’s passion and commitment to public service has always been evident.

Ms. Coba currently serves as President of the Port of Portland Commission.  She has previously served as a member of the Oregon Tourism Commission, as President of the Western Association of State Departments of Agriculture, as a member of the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) Board of Directors, and as chair of NASDA’s Food Regulation committee.  She has been recognized for her international trade work and by the Food and Drug Administration for her leadership in state government.

Gary Kimball

Sauer Eisen Director, Undergraduate Business Minor Program

Professor of the Practice of Managerial Studies

Vanderbilt University

Mr. Kimball currently serves as Director of the Undergraduate Business Minor Program at Vanderbilt University, a private, international research university. A primary focus of his work is the synthesis of strategy and finance to promote sound corporate decisions and value creation. Mr. Kimball has more than 30 years of experience in board, executive, and leadership roles.

Mr. Kimball is currently a Director at Kenco Group, Inc. which provides third party logistics services in North America to customers such as Exxon Mobil and General Foods. He was a founding partner, director, and Chief Financial Officer of OHL, now a division of Geodis, a leading third-party logistics provider. He has been a past Director of IWLA Insurance Company and NCG Research.
